Meet Our Team

Meet the Veterinarians & team of Tansley Woods Veterinary Hospital in Burlington. We’re pleased to provide exceptional vet care for your pets.

Dr. Albert Wimmers

Dr. Wimmers was introduced to Limestone Valley as a high school student. Following his graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1991 and experience at a small animal clinic in Welland, he returned to Limestone Valley in 1996 where he transitioned into ownership and the addition of Tansley Woods Veterinary Hospital. He brings his strong surgical skills and passion for high-quality medicine to treating all of his patients. He has built multi-generational bonds with many families in the community who have been bringing their pets to Limestone Valley for years for his compassionate care. His wife and four children often join him in his many extracurricular activities, including music and triathlons.

Dr. Patrick Petrowski

Patrick has been providing veterinary care to the patients at Tansley Woods Veterinary Hospital since 2001. His background in thrombosis research at McMaster University makes him the ideal resource to help us understand and interpret laboratory tests and procedures. He has been involved in veterinary medicine at home and abroad, graduating from Ross University and working in the United States before settling here in Burlington. He is devoted to his lovely wife as they raise a busy family of three active boys.

Animal Care Assistant

Marlene has been providing our clients and patients with cheerful, personalized service for over 15 years. She began working at Tansley Woods in 2002 after raising her busy family of 4 children. Her current family includes a blended family of 10 children and 3 grandchildren, a havanese named Coraline, and a shih tzu/jack russellX named Phoebe who keep Marlene entertained with their daily antics. Marlene likes the challenge of learning new things every day on the job, especially regarding medical management of cases and nutritional management for preventive medicine. When she’s not busy caring for our pets, she can be found volunteering in her church, spending time in her garden, and walking her dogs.

Animal Care Assistant

After moving from England in 2002, Deb started working at Tansley Woods and Limestone Valley in 2004. She brings a strong background in customer service following her years of experience in the cruise line industry. Her organizational skills and attention to detail keep both clinics running smoothly and patients receiving the utmost of care. She has two adult daughters (both of whom worked at Tansley Woods as students) and an entertaining Cock-a-Poo named Samson.

Animal Care Assistant

Sonya is no stranger to hard work, having grown up on a dairy farm, successfully managed the family landscaping business and raised a thriving family of seven children. Since joining Limestone Valley and Tansley Woods in 2013 she has enjoyed getting to know our clients and discovering the unique personalities of all the pets. She is excited about applying the new veterinary procedures and medical information she gathers every day through learning by teamwork. When she is not at work she may be found entertaining her grandchildren, chasing after a dozen Rhode Island chickens, and gardening or travelling with her husband.

Animal Care Assistant

Hannah’s love for animals has been evident since her childhood days when she could be found playing with kittens in the barn. Not only does she appreciate meeting all our patients but she enjoys getting to know our clients as well. She loves to learn about the world around her and travelling to new places as an extension of her degree in intercultural studies. We appreciate her cheerful help around the clinic!
